Show > r DEATH OF ALFRED DE GRAY An Eleventh Wnrd Ulan Dies Slid ilenly in His Bed Last Night Last night at 10 oclock Alfred De Gray in the employ of Daniel Dunne of the Eagle Foundry died suddenly at his residence in the Eleventh ward Mr Dunn stated to a DEMOCRAT reporter re-porter that Mr Dc Gray was of English birth hadlived in Utah for about eighteen years was a firstclass workman and a highlyrespected citizen Yesterday I morning ho came to his work in uncommon I uncom-mon good spirits and throughout the entire en-tire day he manifested a cheerfulness I which was noticeable His last piece of work was a large cogwheel which is still at red heat while the one that cast it lies cold in death Mr De Gray was 54 years of age last I March His unexpected death has I thrust a wife and seven children into deep mourning On retiring last night I he lay talking for some time when all at once Mrs De Gray noticed that his voice sounded husky and rattled when trying to speak the last few words of a sentence I He turned over on his side and before his wife realized that anything alarming I I was the matter he had breathed his last The deceased was a member in good standing of the Knights of Labor which organization will participate in the funeral services Sundaymorning at 10 oclock at the Eleventh ward school house l friends are invited I |
