Show Student profile of Britteny Evans Marie DeKeyrel Campus Reporter 1 Britteny Evans year old Salt Lake Community College student is a member of the Environmental Club at Britteny is a well-traveled well native from Hawaii where she was largely influenced by nature through her parents We traveled extensively to relatives on the East Coast Connecticut where they instilled a love of outdoor activities Traveling alongside her older sister who Britteny has always seen as a role model taught her herto herto herto to open her heart to all kinds of f people Her passion and connection to people and places bears strong meaning not only in her activities but also in her level to inspire others in having won at at- state level for pitching her idea for recycling angling it towards local school I want people to understand the key to solutions in our community our world our problems climate are changes we all need to make Options instead of the run of the mill discharge landfills deforestation and concepts of energy Britteny took part in a competition in October November for the Environment Club and was placed highly above the other competitors for the state level Evans won the Utah Honorable State Challenge earning her the prize of 1000 Evans also won 2000 for the Opportunity Quest Challenge through She is currently a finalist in the state competition a competition with a award If Evans wins the dollar prize the money will be used to start up a business in the field of environmental efficiency Outside of and her competitions Evans is a deeply compassionate and cheerful woman dedicated to hobbies such as archery water rafting ratting and skiing Evans wants to inspire everyone around her and urges other students to get involved inthe in hi hithe inthe the Environmental Club Nature is never useless and neither should we be useless says Evans |
