Show Students Honored For Excellence Seven students were given prestigious awards in January By Julie Slama Contributing Writer Seven Salt Lake Community College students recently received the United States Achievement Academy's All American Scholar Awards for 2000 These students were selected because they excelled in their academic disciplines earning a minimum point grade-point average of 33 on a 40 scale These students students students stu stu- dents were involved in campus activities and community service service service ice projects This award is a real tribute to students who maintain a high grade point average focus on community activities and work in a career related field to their major said Curtis Marketing and Business Communication professor These seven students join an anelite anelite anelite elite group of students from higher education institutions in all 50 States and the District of Columbia The students received a certificate certificate certificate and will have their names released in the US U.S. Achievement Academy's annual publication The students who received the honor are as follows Eric Barker from Sandy majoring in Marketing Paul Farrington from Salt Lake majoring in Electronics Tech Ian from West I.
