| Show Women go 1 2 1 2 By Corey Bullock Sports Editor The Women's Basketball team spent Thanksgiving in Scottsdale Az at the Scottsdale Basketball Tournament The Lady Bruins won one game and lost two by a combined ten points In their first game they played Central Arizona Down by 18 points at half climbed back into the ball game and were only down by two points with five minutes to go Two points is as close as they w would uld get eventually losing by nine Next up for the Lady Bruins was Glendale played well enough in the first half to own an eight point lead The second half was much of the same as the Lady Bruins led most of the way but fell apart down the stretch losing by a point The Lady Bruins hauled in 16 offensive rebounds in the first half but could only score on two of them After posting two losses by a combined total of ten points the Lady Bruins got on the winning ways with an eight point victory against Scottsdale the host team Head Coach Monica Starrett said We played better the last game but turnovers killed us earlier |
