| Show Affirmative Action Reverse Discrimination Letter to the Editor I must respond to Scott Bauers Bauer's letter to the editor in the April 18 Hori Hori- zon Even though its content is hardly worth acknowledging Mr Bauer complains complains complains com com- plains that minorities whine and complain Yet what did Mr Bauer do throughout most of his letter Whine bitch moan and complain Perhaps he should practice what hes he's preaching The other main fault I find in this letter is Mr Bauers Bauer's attitude about prejudice prejudice prejudice udice is obviously oblivious to the unfair and prejudicial treatment given to minorities not only in the past but TODAY He speaks of it as th though ugh it L were were ancient history Wake up Scott its it's a problem that still exists I would agree that affirmative action is reverse discrimination and ask wrong with that Discrimination has been a one way street for de de- de- de cades Now that people want to make it a two lane road going both ways the theone theone theone one way drivers are confused and resentful But guess what turn about is fair play If you want to stop affirmative then stop prejudice Then there will willbe willbe willbe be no reason for it Until then you'd better be prepared for everyone to play by the old rules That means the good ole boys will still hire the white boys regardless of qualification And affirmative will force them to hire some iome ome less qualified and some highly qualified minorities Cindy Cinch Fletcher General Studies Major |
