| Show P Profile ro fel I e Jill Greenfield ro ti tia a 41 l y N.- N. 4 i 1 x A L 4 i wY W 1 W i f t. t Y I Staci Washington Horizon Associate Editor Jill Greenfield who left Slough England five years ago today finds herself the newly elected Executive Vice- Vice President for the Association Jill says If I hadn't gotten involved here in school politics and were Still in England one of my was to get involved with County Council Over the past five years Jill has spent most of her time dedicated to being in service to people She has been very active in her church through her assistance to the children and young- young adult programs as well as spending two years in Canada on an mission She also continued to further her commitment commitment commitment com com- through volunteering volunteering volunteering volunteer volunteer- ing at a hospital where she provided companionship and personal aide to ailing patients Jill recalls as the last of six children with a considerable age difference between herself and the others she didn't have the examples of her siblings si siblings siblings si- si to follow during her formative years However as asan asan asan an adult she has found that her greatest influence were indeed her parents She says they were handed free-handed and allowed allowed allowed al al- al- al lowed her to be herself She admits she never had aspirations aspirations aspirations as a child but adds that she never feared too many things She says she felt the world was open to her and that she was willing to explore it In England Jill was awarded the Duke of Edinborough Award This award was presented to her formally by bythe bythe bythe the the- Duke himself who is the Queens Queen's husband She explained explained explained ex ex- ex- ex that hat the award is quite similar to those that the scout programs receive here in the states She has also won various awards for hockey and newball similar to basketball her in high school Jill has attended for over a year now She is not a resident of Utah nor of the United States She is a foreign student Her tuition is based the state out-of-state tuition on but she feels the biggest difference difference difference dif dif- dif dif- ference for her here is that she is unable to vote She lives here with an American family that sponsors her Jill a former Senator-at- Senator Large says she believe in personal personal personal per per- talent development I believe that youre you're a person first and then a wife mother girlfriend daughter or sister and its it's the same for men Furthermore she adds that she would like to continue to learn more about herself and be the best that she can be |
