| Show Student explains problems Dear Editor I wan wanted ted to write th this is letter to let you know that a lot of students are very disa disappointed pointed with a recent issue of the Horizon and the way the first few issues were see editors editor's note below 1 I realize that you are now on probationary status from the Jack Campbell issue and that this is to run for the next few weeks I hope that you will use this period to better better better bet bet- ter the paper and the way it is organized I see that you have already put a section section section sec sec- sec sec- tion in the paper for the events that will willbe willbe willbe be happening on the campus I realize that you have to start from scratch from last year and dont don't know what will help to get the students ts to read the paper We can read a lot of the local news in the area papers but none of them print the news that happens at I feel that the students students stu stu- students stu- stu dents also would like to know what is going on in other campuses that change the way things have been in the past or things that affect the students throughout the United States I do not claim to be a journalist but I feel that to do a great job of reporting one must be unbiased in articles because people that read the articles need to know the facts from both sides of the story I look forward to reading future articles and editions of the Horizon and I hope that others will be open-minded open about the probation I hope that the mistake has been a lesson learned Louis Welch Student Senator Welding Editors note Mr Welch specifically sped mentioned mentioned men men- that the first issues o of f Horizon II sided with the gay and lesbian groups |
