Show Muscular dystrophy gained nearly 9 from thon disco-thon sponsored by K Circle-K and Deca Pat Watson The thon dance-a-thon held Feb 17 16 collected almost for muscular dy dystrophy trophy This figure exceeds earnings from any anyone anyone one high school or college in the past five years Last year was raised by all schools and colleges Mr Bruce Harmon the state coordinator of muscular dystrophy said this event was a triumph for being the first dance a at Baker the chairperson for this years year's event concluded When we first attempted this project two months ago our main priorities were to raise money for and to enter the Manuel in the state Jr Up Seven Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference But as we look at the past two months those top priorities are not the main benefits gained from this activity There was so much uch more acquired from being involved we were almost to see our initial goals Fifty couples participated in the hour 30 dance The following received prizes at the end of the activity Grand Prize Joe and Sharon Turley Two 2 years memberships to the Highway Health and Racquet Club Two speed 10 bikes One limited edition print by Jim Coyle groceries from Albertson f fy m Second Place Lonnie and Martha Third Place Lyle Koestel and Kathy Baker Fourth Place James Hancock and Tammy Belka First Place Single Sherri First Place High School Division Johnny Chacon and Sherrie Olsen First Place College Division Les Ashton and Pat Baker Special trophies were given to to Kevin Likes Carol Villiard and Steve Gribble for their enthusiasm and inspiration Curtis said all members of DECA and K Circle-K are re to o be congratulated for their long hours of dedication J r t y ro A d a Y y t S 1 I 11 4 g.- g.
