| Show Leaders From 1 w r. r Z Attend The 1978 ACU I Sem Seminar inar Five stud student nt body leaders from Utah Technical College spent Oct 14 12 at Weber State college for the Association Association Association tion of College Unions International International Inter Inter- na national assembly UTA was represented by Gema Executive Vice- Vice President Cindy King Vice-President Vice of Social Activities Susan Zimmerman Vice-President Vice of Publications Mary Ann Hatton Executive Secretary and Roxann Ferguson Intramural Intramural Intramural In In- Assistant and Sports Editor of Points West The conference was held to give students a chance to talk and exchange ideas with stud students from oth other r. r colleges and to hold workshops for student leadership Some of the other colleges represented included schools from Arizona Colorado New Mexico Idaho Utah Wyoming Wyoming Wyoming Wyo Wyo- ming and Hawaii These were colleges that represent region 13 of the Many were four year colleges but there were quite a few two year colleges like ours officers attended many many many ma ma- ny workshops in situational leadership assertiveness training publicity and building building building build build- ing group relations The also provided many bands and acts such as a hypnotist a mime and a magician These groups usually usually usually us us- performing for half-an- half hour demonstrated their services for the student officers so they could get an idea of who and what is available to perform at schools Many activities at night that were provided for officers officers officers cers by Weber State College a Western barbeque an n Hawaiian luau and the Captain Captain Captain Cap Cap- tain and Tenille Concert This conference is held every year at a different school Next year it will be beheld beheld beheld held in Laramie Wyoming We We all had a good time and I think well we'll be able to put the things we learned and saw to good use for the students at Susan Zimmerman said 1 S OT T- T F r |
