Show Parking At Is Not b by Nearly As Bad stormy Smith As The U of U Or BYU The students who complain about the parking at obviously have not been to the University of Utah or Brigham Y Young University ity lately Students presently attending the U of U or BYU often have to arrive at school two hours before their classes start in order to compete for the limited parking spaces on campus Even then the majority of the students usually have to walk quite a distance to reach their classrooms It is doubtful that any of the students who are constantly dissatisfied with the parking situation at are former U of U or BYU students In fact the transfer students are probably more more appreciative of the convenient parking has to offer We are fortunate at to have a small campus with such adequate parking Now that the north parking lots are paved there is no reason for students to complain about no available parking on campus One possible solution for those who are dissatisfied with the parking at is not to park in the staff parking lots Several instructors have commented that they have occasionally come to school a little behind schedule and h haven't vent been able to fi find d parking because the staff parking lot was full of student cars When students park in the staff parking lots it causes an instructor to tobe tobe tobe be late When an instructor is late twenty-five twenty to thirty people have to wait whereas when a student parks in inthe inthe inthe the staff parking lot one student arrives to class on time tune The best solution for those students who complain that they have to park at Mart K-Mart or the Valley Fair Mall is to come to school before am a.m. There are usually always plenty of parking spaces close to the buildings at that time in the morning |
