H Bangerter The purpose of Financial Aid Aw Awareness reness Week has traditionally been to help today's students find ways to afford college Buck said However equally important is helping future generations of college students by encouraging their parents to start saving tomorrows tomorrow's tuition dollars today Parents are urged in the brochure to invest the same amount in their childs child's college education every year that they i invest vest in a good crib This would amount to approximately a year which breaks down to 25 a month p Assuming a 7 percent annual interest r rate te compounded monthly parents parents' can save in 18 years on this plan That should be approximately enough to pay all four years of tuition at a public university 18 years from today the brochure says A more substantial investment may ay be desirable depending on on family circumstances and educational objectives |
