Show Veterans Veteran's Memorial Scholarship F Fund nd i Requirements Announced By Adolph C Coors ors Co The Adolph Coors Company has announced eligibility requirements for its Veterans Memorial Scholarship Fund The Fund was recently established by Coors to benefit the children and dependents of American veterans and servicemen servicemen servicemen service service- men and women killed in the line of duty missing in action or taken prisoner of war ADMINISTRATION Coors will select qualified students from across the country who have already completed th their ir freshman year of college or equivalent to receive the scholarships The funds to be provided in installments installments installments install install- ments over the remaining three years of undergraduate study will be allocated directly to the institution of study The scholarships will be awarded in August 1985 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Eligible applicants must be under the age of 22 and have completed their freshman year with a grade point average of at least on a 40 49 scale While all dependents of American veterans qualify preference will be given to the dependents of those servicemen or women killed in action missing in action who died in the line of duty were taken prisoners of war or were wounded or disabled SCHOLARSHIP SELECTION Scholarship recipients will be determined according to academic ability and financial need An impartial award selection committee comprised of experienced educators will evaluate applicants and and- select winners Completed applications must be postmarked on or before the deadline date of July 15 1985 UTAH PARTICIPATION In addition to the two scholarships available through Coors for Utah students the Utah Coors Distributors will raise additional additional- funds for an exclusive Utah scholarship through canister contributions at retail outlets The applications for Utah will be coordinated through Ben Russo Chairman United Veterans Council He can be contacted by writing to 2350 East South Salt Lake City UT |
