J i F Fk k T Tr A r W 5 VV VVS' VVS S' S r 7 f A WG f fV V t tr V ii Parade of Homes Hornes spectator stops to look at booth display of Construction Trades Homes byEd by Ed Lile V student chapter of Home Builders Association of Greater Great Great- er Salt Lake sponsored two booths atthe atthe at atthe the annual Parade of Homes show held at the Utah State Fair Park on August 23 According to chapter sponsor Delmar Delmar Delmar Del- Del mar Stevens one booth inside the horticulture building displayed a colorful arrangement of dozens of color photographs of homes built by bythe bythe bythe the construction trade students over the past several years This booth was attractively decorated with the gold and blue college colors and a large logo of Printed handouts and brochures on what has to offer were distributed to thousands of peo peo- pIe attending the show Stevens d directed our attention to a large flatbed trailer outside the north entrance to the horticulture building that was the base for construction of a rather large playhouse playhouse complete complete with windows doors front porch and anda a split cedar shingle roof As the show progressed during the four days thousands of spectators not only watched the construction students students students stu stu- stu- stu dents build this attractive little house but were able to fill out tickets for the hopeful winning of the structure About two thousand tickets were filled out for the drawing Nancy Blatt of Susan Drive in Sandy was the winner Terry Ehlers Chapter President made the winning presen presen- tation 1 Construction of ar a L- L LL V r playhouse created an interest in what has to offer Numerous 3 w inquiries were directed y as to requirements for registering and graduation upon V Near completion stu- stu completion of the dent construction playhouse will be a backyard addition for happy family courses |
