Show Plymouth Trouble-shooting Trouble Contest held at j w. w s- s L by Richard Campbell Journalism On May 17 the Auto Trades Department hosted the Plymouth Ply Ply- mouth mouth AAA AAA Trouble Shooting Contest Contest Contest Con Con- test for high school auto mechanics students Ten teams of two and one alternate alternate alternate alter alter- nate team competed in the contest which was jointly sponsored by Chrysler Plymouth Corporation-Plymouth Division Division Division Di Di- vision the AAA Automobile Clubs the State Office for Vocational Education Education Education Edu Edu- cation and Each team in the contest was required required required re re- re- re to de-bug de a car that had been beenK K bugged by Plymouth with problems that a mechanic would normally en- en counter Each car was bugged identically identically identically iden iden- and the teams were judged by the time required to de-bug de the car and be the most accurate in the repairs Plymouth supplied the cars and the competition staff The winners were first Mark Meadows and Craig Brewster from Brighton second Val Adams and Rob Davis from Skyline and Dan Day and Neil Boustead from the Clearfield Job Corp Neil Grover and Ray Southwick of the faculty were in charge of the college involvement In talking about the contest Walter White the Dean of the School of Trades and Industry Industry Industry In In- said It was a great success The main reason for the involvement involvement involvement in in- in- in iri hi the contest is to give high school students expos exposure re to the automotive program |
