M Weir Journalism Facilities department under the direction of Paul Gunderson responded re- re responded responded re re- quickly to the need of the electricity department by installing a much needed wall in the electricity lab In early December the Electrical department recognized the need for programmable controllers but they lacked the space necessary to house them Programmable controllers are computerized motor control systems used in operating electric motors The wall vall was needed not only to house the new controller units but also to separate a classroom from the distracting electrical lab Gunderson moved quickly in approving approving ap ap- proving the proving the project allowing work to begin near the end of Fall quarter Brick Masonry students laid an eight foot block wall dividing the classroom from the lab area Next electricity students wired the new wall The remainder of the work was speedily completed in time for usage this quarter |
