Show UTAH TECH'S HONESTY RUNS RAMPANT Honesty is running rampant at Utah Tech Two instances of students finding and returning sizeable sizeable sizeable size size- able chunks of cash occurred at atthe atthe atthe the school recently The first happened when Laura Lyons a student in the typist clerk-typist class tried out the new benches in front of the Administration Building Then she left for downtown where she planned to make a payment on a typewriter When she got there she couldn't make the payment The reason Her purse was gone Back Laura drove to the Ad Ad- p ministration Building She looked looked looked look look- ed over the bench area but she couldn't find her purse This was a disaster to Laura because the purse contained her driving license credit cards other personal papers and in cash When she checked with Mrs Marian Jansson Janson in the financial o off office f f i ice c e inside the building Lauras Laura's fears quickly fled Mrs Jansson Janson had the purse An evening student somebody somebody somebody some some- body who attends classes on Monday and Wednesday nights left that purse with me said Mrs Jansson Janson But he didn't leave his nam name Checking the purse Laura found everything th there reId re Id really like to find out who found it she said I 1 want to thank him Then too it would be refreshing to meet somebody that honest The second incident occurred when Mark Garcia Garci a student in inthe inthe inthe the Drafting and Design Technology Technology Technology Tech Tech- class went into the basement basement basement base base- ment of the Administration Building with Instructor Smithy Shults and a classmate Mark found 21 on the floor floora a 20 bill and a single and he turned the money over to Ernest Cowdell manager of the schools school's Materials Distribution Center It isn't mine said Mr Cowdell Cowdell Cowdell Cow- Cow dell and theres there's only one other person it could belong to a aman aman aman man who made a delivery here a few minutes ago Ill I'll call him The deliveryman claimed the money and expressed his gratitude gratitude gratitude tude to MarkIt MarkIt MarkIt Mark It was company money he said If I 1 hadn't found it Id I'd have had to pay it out of my myown myown myown own pocket Utah Tech President Jay L.
