Block "D" has yet to be put of a million dollars more than original estimates. Some oil men feel that the total will reach the fire milup for bid. and yet the land has sold for lion mark, after the sale next Friday. May 22. The three shaded-iportions, or tracts, show where the most money was spent for each single tract in each of the three sales. The Shell Oil Company bought all three tracts, and "got the ones they wanted" by bidding very high on many more tracts that are not shown. In the first sale, they paid $154,905.54 for tract number 144 (shown in the upper right hand corner of the map.) In the second sale, of Block "B", they paid $305,736.48 for tract r.umber 179. This is the highest price paid for any single tract so far. And in the third sale, last Tuesday. May 12, they bid $128,230.40 for tract number 45 (on thousand, their nearest challenging bid was just the far left.) It is interesting to note that in the second sale.
