UTAH MONTICELLO. tveuare iommoaiues Diverted For Use Of Alaskan Natives The Grand and San Juan counties Department of Public Welfare received word from the Food Distribution division of the U. S. Department of Agriculture Marketing Service in San Francisco that the December allotment of commodities originally scheduled for distribution in this area was being sent to Alaska. The Department of Agriculture received an emergency call from the Alaskan Native Service for food in order to meet the situation caused by reason of a poor fishing season in Alaska. The commodities which consist of canned beef and gravy were to be distributed this week. It is expected that commodities will again be available for distribution in the two counties during January, 1954. Her bridesmaid, Ann Summers, wore a lavender formal. The best man was Tom Watkins of Price. The room was attractively decorated in Christmas colors. Centering a small table was the wedding cake of white with pink rose bud trim, and the conventional bride and groom on the top. On either side of the cake were white and pink tapers.
