| Show news from the san juan school district office state school superintendent dr E allan bateman and H lee cannon director of statistics and finance finar ice from the state school office were in san juan monday and tuesday october and they in company with superintendent zenos L black visited the schools at white canyon bluff blanding and monticello in addition to visiting the schools they were collecting data regarding children whose parents are employed in connection with federal activities as a check on an application for federal funds for school operation previously submitted by superintendent black their impressions ot of the tha schools visited were generally favorable thursday october 18 superintendent in zenos L black summoned the janitors and bus drivers to the school district office office in monticello for a training school in the maintenance and operation of school busses and also in maintenance and operation of school buildings as pertained to the responsibilities of the the ile was under the direction of mr von robertson bertson Bo director oi 01 trades and industries from the state school office and mr pavy davy superintendent of buildings and grounds from the granite school district salt lake city many worthwhile suggestions were made concerning the duties and responsibilities of the bus drivers and janitors it orsin in relation to the education of our school children miss phyllis jones of blanding has been employed as the new school district office secretary she will be in the office regularly tuesdays and fridays also on other days as needed |
