Show no trouble anticipated on peters hill road P 0 t states 4 in an interview tuesday with robert B patterson district en gincer for the state of utah we learned that the peters hill oad project was either in the hands of the bureau ott of public roads or would be there this week we are told there is nothing holding up approval of this pro eject except routine also that he highway department expects very little if any trouble on the road because not much steel vill be needed to complete comp leste the job patterson is in monticello his week with a crew checki ing on some of the right of ways and he said he would probably be in san juan county every three weeks for the next twelve months looking after various road oad projects it was explained to us that the r road oad projects were processed in ogden and then sent to denver tor ifor final approval then rhen they were returned to og den to the road commission tor for the advertising of bids from there the contractor receiving the bid goes right to work as most contracts call for a spec fie fic completion date patterson stated he be thought it very likely that some work would be done on the 13 mile stretch of the road this fall during the conversation last tuesday the district engineer also stated slated that the highway de part parti ment nent intends to gravel and 0 oil il the stretch of at road from dev ils canyon south to blanding due to weather conditions this cannot be accomplished until next june he said |
