Show county fair to be successful the san juan county F fair ai r scheduled for september 9 10 at monticello is attracting much favorable attention and interest both among prospective exhibitors and others at no time in the history of the san S an juan basin has there been a t mo me more favorable for the promotion of a fair displaying the count rys products and showing the fie growth and development made by the area many of tile the exhibits that will be on display are unique to our part of the country ours is the richest source of some of the nations strategic metals ours is mhd only part of the state slate that produces pinta beans by dry land farming our country with its vast expanse of rugged terrain offers scenic attractions unexcelled anywhere every evere native has reason to t be proud of san juan and every native has the opportunity to share the fine spirit that has prompted the promotion of the fair every one can attend and many can display something of interest all exhibitors should arrange their displays before 3 PM friday 1 members of the committee will be on hand most of the day to help with the arrangements I 1 judging will bd from 3 to five the building will be officially opened to the publia at 10 saturday morning the program saturday will start at 1 p m mi t with a baseball game between the town teams 0 of f blanding and monticello following the game will be horse shoel pitching and foot racing the exhibitions eions close at 5 PM and should be moved out immediately immedi atly to provide room for the evenings activities aviti which hicl are slated to beg begin 1 i n a at t a 8 there here r will be novelty dances vocal husir by darwin jones piano seler selections tidas by rowan Tayl taylor taylar yr and and ramon black numbers by the ladies chorus instrumental music by joe libut and hyrum porter social dancing will follow the program and during the intermission there will be an exhibition of square dancing |
