Show Teen Council gets $350 grant The Davis County 4-H Teen Council, under the direction of their president Connie Hill, have just concluded a worthwhile and needed service project. , The 4-H'ers applied for and received re-ceived a $350 Community Pride grant from Chevron, USA. The council members constructed and delivered 15 park benches to various va-rious city park managers in Davis County. As weather permits these benches will be cemented in the parks. Economy Builders of Kaysville provided the redwood decking and other materials for the benches at a reduced cost. Though the project took many hours of hard work the teens were excited with their finished product. A major emphasis of the 4-H program involves youth participating participat-ing in service projects; Chevron, USA hsa been promoting this phase of 4-H for many years now according to Steve Jackson of the USU Extension Service. |
