Show RS dk of christensen Is laid to rest by mrs H E blake funeral service for ray christensen who passed away at the veterans hospital october 8 wads was held in the ch church ur h house us e sunday afternoon A large 9 group ou p of relatives and friends were gathered to pay their last respects to the departed the service opened with the choir singing 1 I need thee every hour invocation by lawrence black ek followed by the choir singing take courage saints C A frost was the first speaker the ladies chorus sang prayer perfect wm C walton then gava gaa ga short talk the chorus ak eldered a musical gumbei R rk k of ages D B perkins gave a short history f the life of the deceased as he had known him stressing especially liis his kindly manner and loyalty to church and friends T H evans rendered a beautiful violin solo perfect day bishop summers sunu ners spoke in behalf of the family and their appreciation of help and consolation extended them in their bereavement he also paid high tribute to the family life of the ray chris hensens ten sens the operation cooperation co between ausband and wife and the strong affection they had for each other and their children there was a profusion of beautiful flowers and the casket was draped with a united states flag the service concluded by the chorus singing softly beams the sacred dawning and benediction offered by J T pehrson at the cemetery 4 abide with me was sundby a group of voices the grave was dedicated by wilford frost ray Chri christensen was born in emery county utah february 13 1895 son of nels ind and elizabeth petty christensen he was a veteran of world war I 1 and an church worker he was married to melissa jarvis in monticello in 1919 and they have made their home here bothern to them thern were born 13 children 12 of whom survive and were present at the funeral tose tl T ose se of the immediate rela ta tl A eft to mourn the passing of the oved moved one are the widow mrs melissa christensen christeasen sens leon and kent in the U S army neldon jay samuel and dennis daughters mrs eileen black san denis calif norma cleo marian mariana judy and janice montello mont sello four brothers niels lester and perry of price and dr clem christensen of englewood calif three sisters mrs claire C aire bishop and mrs ann erickson cleveland ut and mrs S H davis of salt lake city all the brothers and sisters were present except dr christensen A large number of other relatives from out of town were also present we extend our deepest sympathy to theses these our friends in their h holof of grief C it |
