Show Nori hdale by MARY MAHY V BRUMLEY 1 1 this community was sa widened I 1 to hear of 0 the death of J H horry which occurred on en 14 at boulder colorado following fo lowing an operation operatic ri for obstruction of the bowes he had only recently undergone an operation on his eyes and was rejoiced to have his sight restored bit bl t the second operation proved tuo much for a weakened condition of his heart an ailment he had suffered from at various times during the past several years interment was made at boulder Bs B ulder colo where he was laid to rest beside his wife who preceded him in death about six years ago her passing also re 1 suiting from an operation both mr and mrs horry were pioneers of this section and were held in highest esteem by all who knew them and the part they took in helping to develop this country in its agricultural possibilities and its community welfare will be remembered by those who were associated socia ted with them as long as time shall spare them here the sympathy of this community is extended to the son and daughter leroy horry and mrs floyd floya burdick of boulder who are mourning their fathers passing pos 0 this community along with I 1 many others near cortez cortes wishes to pay tribute to the memory of dr E E johnson the most loved man in southwest colorado his passing is mourned by all for there is scarcely a family in this wide scope of country that s some me time or other in the past 25 years has not been ministered to by his medical skill and felt the kindliness of his personality who can fill the place of this kind end efficient man recent word from I 1 a V shutt states that his employment in defense work has taken him to a project about 70 miles south sauth of tooele thoele 0 W A goodman reports that his new well is now fully completed and has a most satisfactory flow of water mrs C E crapo substituted as teacher at the coal bed bea school i from wednesday Wednes dey of last week th rought monday of this week taking the place of mrs james murray who enjoyed a visit fro m aher her husband corporal james murray of the medical corps at camp meade maryland he was here on a few days furlough and returned to his duties at the camp on monday of this week 0 tex cross and robert mclaughlin left last friday for salt lake where they are seeking employment |
