Show k A juan coun county ty cooperative health association presents plan for year ahead A meeting of the san juan county medical board was held on thursday evening may 7 in the county court house for the purpose of considering necessary changes and reviewing the plan for doctor and hospital service during the coming fiscal year which begins on july 1 the board consists of tives from county community civic church educational and bu buness ariess organizations twelve r enta tives dr 1 W alle alien n I 1 dr wesly bayles and county nurses were in attendance in line with suggestions made last year action was taken to change the name of the san juan medical cooperative committee to san juan cooperative health association confirmation was received from the grand county hospital of their approval and acceptance of our contract for hospital service andl and I 1 care for next year under the same terms as the present hospital contract action was taken to accept applications for renewal of medical contracts contratti i from present mem members without membership fee up to andl and including september 30 1942 at the present rate of I 1 new subscribers however and those not holding a contract during the current fiscal year will be required to pay a membership fee of 25 in addition to the service charge of 40 for doctor and hospital care the membership fee of 26 25 will also apply to present members who fail to renew their contract before september 30 no contract will be sold after i december 31 1942 for service during the coming fiscal year the secretary was instructed to notify oscar jameson of la sal of his appointment to serve as a member of the county cooperative health association committee to represent the la sal district karl R lyman was appointed chairman of the publicity and sales committee for monticello wm ervin palmer was appointed to act in the same capacity for blanding the committees will be ready to accept applications for new and if I 1 ed contracts on or about aved layle 5 application may be made with the secretary at the court house in monticello and with karl lyman ralph A bailey or Claire acord in blanding apply to wm ervin palmer M F lyman and bishop john D rogers in bluff see mrs pauline hays in lasal oscar jameson and clement johnson for east monticello residents the cooperative health association also discussed organization plans for cooperative dental service A committee consisting of claire R acord dorothy bayles and wm ervin palmer was appointed to investigate and report back their findings at the earliest atiq me ae date |
