| Show i buzzing about with bee hive 0 by geraldine redd the gatherers of the honey class enjoyed a trip rip to the temple a few weeks ago the four girls gera geradine line redd dawn janem gloria foy and betty batty dalton daltan with their beehive bee hive teacher M s mx max bailey left for manti in early afternoon and stayed in price the first night we left pries and arrived in manti where we stayed all night after going to the temple the next morning we drove on djan to provo the weather was vas hot and after finding a room an air cooled theatre was our next stop the next morning af er doing a little shopping mrs bailey drove us u s out to the ua bah ah state hospital where mr and mrs J M redd showed us through the buildings one of the most interesting things was the bakery the I 1 oven was so big a long iron handle was used to take the bread out about loaves of bread are used for one meal the laundry room was another interesting place two huge washers which also dried the clothes were at one end of the building there were several large machines which ironed pants shirts etc and the rest was finished by hand i in one of the doctors offices we were shown how bow blood diseases were discovered and how they tell what kind they are we were shown all of the five stories stores of the main building and different rooms picture shows are enjoyed by the patients twice a week and dances every saturday day that afternoon we left for price where we stayed all night nigh the next day we arrived in monticello in the early afternoon |
