Show home of truth by MARIE al OGDEN V quiet days and peaceful nights in in our valley and what we nay may lack in some ways is more than made up in others we thoroughly enjoyed the weekend week end there with the few remaining ones and while we miss miss those who leave we cannot but feel the greater power of the few who are among the tried and trusted ones of our family group some of our valley folk came to town last thursday evening to see the sights ared and to attend the picture show life in town is is quite in contrast to the quiet of our valley and was especially so last week preceding the two day ce celebration lebrat I 1 on which really started on thursday the day set aside in commemoration of the pioneers who reached salt lake city nearly years ago 0 the dinner party at the home of catherine sullivan on saturday evening was another happy occasion and was enjoyed by all of us it was elmers birthday so he was considered the guest of honor incidentally elmer is making fine headway again and says he be feels better than ever before in his life 0 A pleasant call on sunday afternoon held us over just is we were wece about to leave for town mis nutter and her oli daughter tighter miss virginia and mrs matthews all of salt lake city cily and charles redd of la sal stopped cu their way to the ranch we were happy to meet these friends and enjoyed an hour of friendly fri adly conversation it is also pleasing to know that distant f olk folk who hear about us are interested enough to stop and get acqua anted 0 hebe is helping to put up the second cutting of hay at claude youngs ranch and david and A D are working in town our gardens are in fine shape now although a good rain would add much to their development at this time more than ever do we realize the need of conserving the water that rushes from the mountains in the spring which is so much needed during the summer peason season |
