Show AAA makes plan more flexible for small farms A provision in the 1940 AAA farm program makes it more flexible particularly for small farmers in that they may choose to have their farm designated as a w wheat heat allotment farm or a non v wheat heat allotment farm says J T pehrson chairman of the AAA committee the farmers intentions are designated when he executes a form provided for that purpose the farm will be b e considered as nonparticipating if the form is not executed mr pehrson pointed out that when the farmer signs this agreement to participate he has two alternatives ter natives the first is that he may choose to have his farm designated as an allotment farm and seed within the acreage allotments d for his farm if he aw 2 athis this he will receive all the advantages the triple A farm program has to offer for instance parity payments conservation pay ments and wheat loans are all available to him or he may wish to exceed his allotment and seed his usual acreage to wheat if so he can secure this usual acreage from his county committee and signify his intentions tent ions to become a non wheat allotment farmer conservation payments will be made on a all so soil conserving practices carried out and there is no total soil depleting acreage allotment established for the farm parity payments wheat conservation payments and wheat loans are not available should the farmer choose to have his farm designated as a non allotment farm whichever he chooses the farmer should make his declaration to the county committee at once if he plans to participate in the wheat farm program in 1940 |
