| Show misleading information GIVEN BY SOME CIVIL I 1 SERVICE SCHOOLS the united states civil service commission Commiss nn has sent sant a notice to post offices warning that thai misleading information is iveing being given iven the public ly by representatives of some seme of the correspondent schools which sell civil service courses par a long time the commission has been receiving complaints filan different parts of the country which indicate that opportunities for obtaining federal employment have been greatly exaggerated it was made clear that no school has any connection whatever with the civil service commission or with any other brunch of the government and also that the commission has no agents who solicit applications for civil service positions or who sell civil service courses no na school can guarantee government employ ement and none is given information regarding examinations or any other information which is not available avi aviI lable able to the general public the commission stated that it doe s not recommend any school and explained that it is not necessary for anyone to take a course with a so called ci civil vil service school in order to compete in a civil service examination A special point was made of af the 1 fact that information concerning exi ami animations nations may be obtained J at any time without w it hout cost from the secretary I 1 I 1 of the civil service board at any first i or second class post office or from the commissions Cm missions office in washington D 0 |
