| Show local robbery spoils vacation saturday s evening of last week mr and nd mrs water waiter james an elderly couple from rifle colo stopped over in monticello on their way to visit relatives in california early in the evening they placed their car in the moab garage but on earning burning that traveling Is much easier while the muddy roads are still frozen they took their car from the garage and parked it in front of the house where they were staying as the garage does not open early enough to allow pre sun riss rise travelers to get their cars out when mr and mrs james awoke about three sunday morning and prepared to cave they found their car had been rifled during the night A trunk containing in cash was missing as was about worth of new clothes and other personal effects another couple Is reported to have been staying at the same rooming house it Is said that they had left with several heavily loaded suitcases prior to the discovery ot of the robbery the deputy sheriff was notified but ans of the opinion that the couple coupe leaving earlier had had time to cross the state line even if they were the guilty parties which Is not known about 10 sunday morning the sheriff was phoned at his home in blanding and he immediately got in touch louch by phone with other officers in an attempt to apprehend apprel lemil the thieves no arrests have yet been m made ade |
