PERSONAL OPINION by elwyn bla blake e w 5 08 reciprocity the recently enacted beci reciprocal recal agreements between the unit united ted states state and canada have aroused aroused the tha aca jealousy ausy of some odthe of the other nations who also want lower tariff rates it to us h however however that no other nation has the same relation to us as does canada and so should not expect the same concessions ik mex mexico j 0 o also is an adjoining lir nation but has little to export besides I 1 cattle and perhaps some sugar while canada has av language arad idea and manufactures ties which the united states state s desires and and is is one of our best customers for a great many manufactured products especially farm machinery it is well that the two countries are ar cementing their relations with trad agreements and should continue to become more and more friendly cari car b should be taken however nt not ta make agreements which will definitely injure any large group of cito zens
