Show Miss Suar House Of 52 Chosen in Gala Beauty Parade Miss Cherie Middaugh, blonde, blue-eyed, statuesque and just 18, was crowned Miss Sugar House of 1952 this week. Miss Lou Ann Birkbeck, the 1951 queen, placed the lovely flower flow-er crown on the head of Miss Sugar House 1952 at a coronation ceremony conducted at the Villa theater on Highland Drive. Miss Middaugh is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott L. Middaugh of 1721 Downington avenue. Bobbie McKean was chosen first attendant, and Georgie Felsted was selected second. All three of the lovely girls were showered with gifts by merchants of Sugar House Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, sponsors of the contest Joan Eldredge, Georgie Ruth Felsted, Kay Carlisle, Carole Bow. den, LaRae Porter, Susan Blair, Janet Bennion, Karen Faye King, Carolyn -Blank, A. Claire Bowen, Donna Jean Bowen, Shari Wixom, Cherie Mae Middaugh, Nola Rae Olsen. Sharie Madsen, Janice Oberle, Janet McAllister, Marsha Timpson, Tove Willestrup, Donna Mae Kiz-erian, Kiz-erian, Nancy Ann McMaster, Hope Florence Fairbanks, Janet B. James, general chairman, said the selection of the 1952 celebrity will begin a wide round of public appearances, representing rep-resenting Sugar House in scores of functions. A graduate of East high school, Miss Sugar House of 1952 plans to enter the University of Utah this fall. Only last spring she was chosen Queen of Hearts in the Utah Heart drive. During the summer months Miss Middaugh is a playground director at the Dilworth school, modeling as a sideline, an avocation she has already done considerable of. She is an accomplished pianist, and attends the LDS Mountain View ward in Hillside stake. The Villa theater was sold out for the affair, one of the best attended public events staged this year by the chamber.
