Show OPERETTA TO BE STAGED BY LDS WARDS "The Fortune Teller," by Victor Vic-tor Herbert, and one of America's Favorite operettas, will be presented present-ed Thursday and Friday evenings, March 24 and 25, at the Highland View and Highland View West LDS wards. The cast of 75 voices and 30 musicians is directed by Henry Miller, music; Peggy Duncan, director di-rector of dramatics; Gene Patterson, Patter-son, stage director; Colleen Greg ory, choregraphy, and Jay Dent, personnel director of the orchestra. Lynn Davis is managing director; direc-tor; George Prince, stage manager, and Jack Ashton is concert master. Among the cast are Lynn Davis, Ivan Voorhees, McEwan Voor-hees, Voor-hees, Alfred Niederhauser Jr., Keith Gregory, David Randall, Gary O'Brien, Ruth Stewart, Joe Jense, Gene Paterson, Bonnie Vail, Jay Love, Fran Marquardson, Bill Naylor, Janet Hult, Lavon Holmes, Lucille McMurdie and Von Hoyt. The chorus is composed of grand ballet opera, guests, hussars, gypsies gyp-sies and servants. Winnifred Jardine is personnel director of the operetta, and Ar-line Ar-line Scott, Lucille Richins and Mae Staten will be accompanists. The musical production is presented pre-sented to raise funds for the new dual ward chapel, and tickets will be sold at the door, adults, Sl-25, and children under 12. 50 cents. The public is invited. |
