HAZEL CHASE SEEKING RE-ELECTION Hazel Taggart Chase, incumbent Salt Lake County recorder, is seeking seek-ing renomination on the. Republican Republi-can ticket. She is a native of Salt Lake City and county and a lifelong life-long Republican. Mrs. Chase has held numerous positions in the party and at present pres-ent is president of the Utah Federation Fed-eration of Women's Republican clubs. For a number of years, Mrs. Chase was office manager and deputy in the Salt Lake county sheriff's office. She later managed the Salt Lake City constable's office. of-fice. Active in civic affairs, Mrs. Chase served as chairman of the county employe's drive to obtain donors for the Red Cross blood bank and contributions to the Salt Lake County Community Chest and American Cancer Society. She has served as recording secretary and treasurer of Salt Lake City Council of Women and is second vice president of the Women's Legislative Council of Utah. Mrs. Chase was elected third vice president of the National Association of County Recorders at the national convention in Boston last year. She is a past vice president of the Altrusa club of Salt Lake City, captain of McKinley Camp, Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers, and an officer of-ficer of Utah Iris Society. Having completed seven years in office, Mrs. Chase explained her years of experience in handling the practical work of lawyers has given her a legal training which is necessarily helpful in the ad- |
