So 11th Eait City HOLIDAY TRADE BOOMING Sugar House will wind up its ' Christmas season Friday night with a group of Girl Scout chora-leers, chora-leers, composed of 30 voices from 11 troops, singing Christmas Carols in the Plaza. The 45 minutes of youthful singing sing-ing will begin at 5:30 p. m., and will lend a spiritual and a blithe note to the hurdy-gurdy rush that always accompanies , last minute shopping, Mrs. C. I. Santa Claus has been on hand eve" y evening of the yule season in his charming Santa's Sugar House on the Plaza to dispense with candies and nuts and to make golden promises to good little girls and boys. He has been many other places, too, for he was seen every day and evening in the new Sugar House shopping center, a-glitter with holiday lights and bright display dis-play windows. Street decorations, choral music from loudspeakers and ever-ready Christmas greetings have dominated domina-ted the show in Sugar House this year, and chamber of commerce com-merce officials predict it will go down in history as the greatest promotion yet. |
