Show SHIRLEY DEBEHHAM CLAIMS DnifiL LEAVES FOR NEW POST The mid-November wedding of Miss Lila Mae Sampson to Shirley Debenham was one of the loveliest of the late fall season. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Sampson of Delia, while Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Shir-ley R. Debenham, 2324 Evergreen Ave., are parents of the groom. The couple was married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by President Presi-dent Robert L. Burton, after which they were honored by the groom's parents at a breakfast at the Doll Ifou.se. Attending the bride at the reception re-ception in Rosecrest ward were Miss Fern Savage, maid of honor; Miss Dixie Howe. Miss Barbara College where she was affiliated with Lambda Delta Sigma, Nu Sigma Chi, the Spanish club and Dixie A Capella choir. The groom attended the University Univer-sity of Utah and is a recent graduate grad-uate of the U. S. Army language school in Monteray, Calif., where he majored in Russian. He has also fulfilled a mission in South America for the LDS church. The new'lyweds are looking forward for-ward to a future home at a European Euro-pean post. Debenham left Thanksgiving Thanks-giving Day for his assignment while the new Mrs. Debenham will continue to reside in Sugar House until her husband's appointment appoint-ment is determined. Thomas, Mrs. George W. Sample, Miss Marilyn Debenham. Petite Marjorie Debenham and Ann Webb were flower girls. Acting as best man was Roy Debenham, brother of the groom. The young couple was again honored at a second reception in the Delta Deseret stake center when the bride's intimate friends, Mrs. M. C. Shields, Mrs. Douglas Robinson, Mrs. Ferd Nielsen, who paid her special tribute. A lovely detail was added when the bride joined members of her former trio in singing. Also included in the wedding program were dance selections se-lections by the Misses Marilyn and Marjorie Debenham and their brother, Jerry. The bride is a graduate of Dixie |
