Show ARTIST JENSEN MAKES FORD MAGAZINE Of interest to his many friends in Sugar House was Christian Jensen's Jen-sen's recent article in August's "Ford Times" in which he related the history of the renowned Overland Over-land Trail. Accompanying the story were illustrations il-lustrations beautifully reproduced of Jensen's paintings of long forgotten for-gotten Pony Express stops such as the old hotel at Fairfield Station, Sta-tion, the stables at Simpson Springs and the ruins of the Rush and Boyd express stations. Described in detail by Jensen was the tortuous route used by the hardy pioneers many of whose descendants are planning to remake re-make the trip later this year under the auspices of the Sons of Utah Pioneers. In the July issue of Ford Times Mr. Jensen is also represented with a painting of The Lion House cafeteria, cafe-teria, the famous residence of Brig-ham Brig-ham Young. Jensen is artist at The Salt Lake Tribune and makes his home at 1414 McClelland street. |
