Show F e s f i v a ! Slated On Friday Spring festival and field day will be held for pupils of Holladay ele-.Ticn'ary ele-.Ticn'ary school tomorrow at the school grounds. The festival will begin at 9 and continue through 11:30 a. m. Parents and friends of the school are cordially invited to attend the spectacle which will include dancing danc-ing and singing by all the grades. Field day will begin immediately after the pupils' lunch hour and continue the afternoon with races, ball games and other various competitive com-petitive sports. First and second grade pupils will be entertained at a movie in the school auditorium during this I time. ! I As a special treat for field day I this year the Holladay Parent-Teacher Parent-Teacher Association will conduct a I carnival in the afternoon at which snowcones, fruit juices, hambur-, gers, hot dogs and gas balloons will be sold. In addition, the P-TA will 1 ' donate pony and train rides. There will also be a cup-cake sale. , Tickets for the carnival concessions conces-sions will be sold the children during dur-ing the morning school sessions Friday and the sale will be limited to 50 cents worth of tickets per j child. These tickets will later be redeemed for goodies at the stands. In an effort to return to the original purpose of field day which was originally considered the health day of the school year, the j P-TA members are especially em-phazising em-phazising sport activities and wholesome foods rather, than candies and pop. j Mrs. Leo Stevenson is chairman j of field day. Mrs. Owen Andrus will act as chairman of the booths with all her room mothers assisting. |
