Ivy puts her soul into these projects the same as she does for her business, and so to Ivy Walker, a King's ransom for all that she has accomplished. By EMMA D. KING There's Ivy Walker, owner of designer at Danseuse Costumes. It is a new business and the only one of its kind in the city, which Ivy brought to Sugar House. Ivy has had 15 years experience in designing, and was formerly with Mode O'Day. She fashions many of her creations just from looking at a picture. For many of the city dance schools she has done the complete costuming for the full shows. Along with the designing she has a complete com-plete line of materials for costumes and gowns, and costumes are made to order. One line of her work, which she enjoys very much, is designing design-ing of wedding gowns. For these she has stocked exquisite materials and beautiful trims. It is not all fancy sewing and costuming that is done by Ivy at Danseuse for she is known for her expert tailoring and did men's tailoring in Hollywood. But it is not all work for Ivy, for she relaxes with her many activities in clubs and church. She is a member of the "Melodenes" singers, a group which sings at special church functions, gves concerts con-certs and at holiday time is busy at clubs and hotel parties. She is a bowling enthusiast and is past president of the Bowling Association, and a member of the major league. For eight years Ivy was president presi-dent of the Liberty Park LDS ward MIA, and was supervisor of the junior Sunday school for five |
