Show South-East Area Organize For Community Projects The temporary organization, "Olympus Community Council," will meet Sunday, Jan. 6, at the Olympus Seminary at 2 p.m. At the meeting the committee appointed will report and steps will be taken for permanent organization. organiza-tion. The group will be composed of residents in the East Mill Creek, Forest Hills, South Cottonwood, Cottonwood Heights and Holladay areas. The purpose of the organization is to investigate and study worthwhile worth-while community projects, and take such actions in a proper capacity to approve or promote the welfare of the joint communities on a non-partisen basis, according to Eugene B. Duffin, chairman. One of the first projects on the agenda is the proposed swimming pool at the Olympus High School. The pool would offer instruction of swimming on a year round program. |
