Show No Ghost Street Now! TWENTY-FIRST SOUTH FILLS UP WITH HEW TENNANTS Twenty-first South is by no means a ghost street, it was reported this week before the Sugar House chamber of commerce by C. G. (Neal) White, chairman of the business development committee. Indeed, White told the chamber luncheoneers, there is only one unleased spot on the north side of 21st South the street hardest hard-est hit when the new shopping center drew some old tennants away. And that one rental spot, White said, is small. Good substantial business concerns have taken long leases on the vacated properties all of which are being renovated or rebuilt re-built and ultra-modernized. White singled out Newell K. Brown who only last week removed re-moved his store one door east where the new Knights Shoe Store is one of the brightest spots in all Sugar House. The speaker praised the confidence and the foresight of Brown's venture. "Have no fear, Sugar House will continue to thrive along this Street," said White in conclusion. |
