Show ROCKWOOD SETS GRAND AFFAIR TODAY, SATURDAY Rockwood Furniture, the oldest name in Sugar House, has just become the newest, most modern and up-to-date furniture concern in the intermountain west. The newly rebuilt, and newly stocked store features its grand opening Friday and Saturday and the public is invited to visit the store and view the building with the beautiful advanced lighting, unique display methods, along with the new top name lines in the furniture fur-niture industry. The three sons, Clarence L., Wendell H., and Lewis F., have carried on the same business policies poli-cies as their father, who started in the furniture business in Sugar House in 1910. The new building has three levels, lev-els, the main floor will feature complete departments in home furnishings, fur-nishings, floor covering and appliances, ap-pliances, the balcony, overlooking the main floor, will feature home furnishings, the basement will show juveniles and accessories. There is more than 20,000 square feet of floor space for display, adding add-ing four times the space of the old store, plus the warehouse. They feature conventional, traditional, tra-ditional, modern and maple lines with an increase in their lines of different, unique lamps. These beautiful lamps catch the eye of the most casual visitor. In the same building is the warehouse, ware-house, modern loading facilities inside in-side and under cover, and a railroad rail-road approach is at the back door. Eleven separate and ultra modern mod-ern offices have been constructed on the second floor. In keeping with the Sugar House reputation, the store offers easy convenient parking facilities in the lot across the street. The management invites the public to visit the store Friday and Saturday and see the new creations in modern styling and coloring. |
