Show FLOWER POTS SILL OE HOISTED ti'MM The hanging flower pots on Sugar House business district streets have won wide acclaim, few criticisms. A move to eliminate the only beef registered against the pots that they are too low will be launched in the near future, the Sugar House chamber of commerce com-merce directorate decided this week. To do so, the pots will be hoisted a few inches higher on the light pole standards in order to give clearance to high bodied trucks, which, on a few occasions have banged into the ornamental flower containers. The chamber directors also approved ap-proved a plan to be financed by Salt Lake whereby a concrete island will be constructed west of the Plaza monument. Commissioner Commission-er L. C. Romney said the city will build the island. Attending the directors' meeting were S. Morgan Sorensen, John C. Barnes, Stephen C. Richards, Vern W. Mackey and Executive Secretary Secre-tary D. James Cannon. |
