Show successful fund raising was in charge of Linda Belnap. Holladay Happenings Graduation -- Travel Keep Citizens Busy Mr. Melvin Thomas Boley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Boley, 2-139 Olympus Dr. receives his degree in Economics at the U. of TJ. He will also receive his commission as Ensign in the United States Navy, and leaves soon for his first assignment. He will be stationed on the U.S.S. Lexington. Mr and Mrs. A. Gideon Omer, 2217 E. 4500 So. and daughter, Mrs. Josephine O. Haugan leave Thursday for Seattle, Wash. There they will attend the graduation gradu-ation exercises of John S. Omer, who graduates from the Dental College at Washington State University. Mt. Olympus Grandmother's Club will meet at the home of Mrs. Waltzia Sullivan, 4391 Wander Lane, Monday, June 11 at 2 p.m. Following a business meeting the group will work on a Red Cross project. Mrs. Elinore Blackburn, presi- dent, will be in charge of the meeting. Something to look forward to this fall will be a showing of "Living Masterpieces" to be held at the Olympus High School, under un-der the chairmanship of Mrs. Clyde Thompson. A meeting to make plans was held at the home of Mrs. Frank Carmen, 2480 Walker's Lane, Friday, June 1. Misses Karen and Linda Nelson, Nel-son, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nelson, 5450 Highland Drive, will be leaving soon to attend at-tend summer school. Karen will enter Chouinards at Los Angeles to continue her art studies, while Linda goes to Chicago to enter Northwestern University for six weeks. Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Cutler, 4870 Memory Lane, parents of Mrs. John S. Omer will also leave soon to attend the graduation. The Holladay Fifth LDS ward building fund project received $505 on the recent cake 'sales. The |
