Show Steel Day Flower FeteReady The folwers that bloom in the fall, tra-la, will lend color and gaiety to American Fork's Ninth Annual Steel Day Sept. 7. Theme of this year's show is Nature's Treasures." Site of the show will be the basement of the Alpine Stake Tabernacle. Sponsors of the flower spectacle, the sixth of its kind, is the American Fork Garden club. Lillie Jensen is chairman. chair-man. Everyone has been invited to enter. Commercial axhibitors are being welcomed, too, though their entries will be non-competitive. Entries will be received from 6 to 9 a.m. on Steel Day. They must remain there until after the show 9 p. m. that night or the next morning. All flowers must be grown by the exhibitors except ex-cept . in the artistic arrangement competition. First, second and third place ribbons will be awarded in each classification. There will also be one sweepstake winner in each section and one grand champion award. Classes will be judged in accordance with the point system of the National Council. There will be no admission charge to the show. Entries will be judged from 9 a. m. till noon, and the show will be open to the public from noon on. There will be competition in asters, petunias, marigolds, zinnias, all other annuals, all kinds of perennials, per-ennials, roses, dahlias, gladioli, artistic ar-tistic arrangements, corsages and house plants. A junior section Is also planned. Serving with the chairman on the show committee are Elden Miller, Mil-ler, Cathrine Nelson, Mable Johnson, John-son, Clara Chadwick, Rhoda Nils-son,. Nils-son,.
