Show ANNE C. MILLER CELEBRATES 106 BIRTHDAY Mrs. Anne C. Milne,' Murray, though not as robust as two years ago when she was queen of the Old Folks Day in Liberty park, will celebrate her 106th birthday annherso;-'- Wednesday, October 27. As queen two years ago, she danced a few steps at the party, but there will be no open house now, as her health will not permit per-mit many visitors. However,' she is active and enjoys en-joys life. She has favorite radio programs, and though her hearing is not good, she likes to visit with her great grandchildren, and until a short time ago took daily short walks along the pathway. Mrs. Milne was born in London and emigrated with her parents at an early age. A Utah pioneer she experienced many hardships and recalls interesting incidents. Their family home was a log cabin located at the present site of the Sugar House plaza. For many years Mrs. Milne was blind, but an operation restored her sight. She credits her longevity to active work. She has always taken advantage of the privilege of voting, and until recently attended church . . r |
