The event is one of ten outstanding outstand-ing entertainments during th 1953-54 1953-54 season to raise $40,000 to complete com-plete the stake center. And the Saturday night program is planned to realize the balance of the fund which has accumulated a sum near $30,000. The fight is under the direction of the Salt Lake City recreation department with Leo Pignanelli, director, and under the auspices of Utah State AAU, with Harold McNeil, Mc-Neil, chairman. With the idea of enabling the young athletes of the fisticuffs to display their talents and to win for thpmsplvp; nnQSihlo hirtVic in thp coming AAU Golden Gloves tournament, tourna-ment, the production committee is building a complete regulation ring, or a reconstruction of the ring which has been used in many out-of-city bouts Bleachers to seat 1500 is being erected in such a way that every seat can be termed ringside. The amateur boxing matches promise a good evening's entertainment enter-tainment for anybody's money, and with an enthusiastic and cheering crowd the young participants really real-ly put everything they have into the fight.
