Show Service Men ... Two soldiers from Salt Lake City, Specialist Second Class Richard F. Salisbury and PFC William R. Bailey, recently participated partici-pated in a 1st Infantry Division Army training test at Fort Riley, Kansas. Specialist Salisbury, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Salisbury, 46-17 Nathan circle, is a clerk in the 18th Regiment's Company K. He entered enter-ed the Army in December 1953 and completed basic training at Fort Ord, Calif. He was graduates from Aurora, Colo., High School in 1953. Bailey, whose wife, Marilyn, lives at 2002 S. 1700 East, is a radio operator in the 18th Regiment's 3d Battalion Headquarters Company. Com-pany. He entered the Army in May 1955 and completed basic training at Fort Carson. The son of W. R. Bailey, 5151 Highland dr., he was graduated from Granite High Schol in 1951. First Lt. William N. Walker, whose wife, Shirlee, lives at 1441 Redondo ave., recently arrived in Germany and is now a member of the 509th Antiaircraft Artillery Operations Detachment in Germany. Ger-many. Lieutenant Walker was last stationed at Fort Douglas, Utah. He is a 1952 graduate of the University of Utah and a member mem-ber of Sigma Nu fraternity. The lieutenant's mother, Mrs. Helen N. Walker, lives at 736 Third ave. Army 1st Lt. Charles H. Foote Jr., 23, whose parents live at 1397 E. 13th, S., is a member of the 6th' Cavalry Regiment's Howitzer Company, which recently placed first in the VII Crops howitzer firing tests in Germany. He is a 1954 graduate of the University of Utah and a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. His wife, Norine, is with him in Germany. |
