Show I COUNTY ASKS TO DRAIN AREA The Salt Lake City Commission Thursdy referred to the streets and water departments a request from the County Commission for the right to drain into Parleys Creek or Brigham Young Ditch ground water in the Veterans Heights area. , A letter from Ray P. Greenwood, County Commission Commis-sion chairman, said the county plans to construct drains along 2900 South Street from 2300 to 2700 East Streets and on 2940 South from 2520 to 2700 East Streets. The letter says that the Parleys Canyon stream now is the natural drainage channel for this area," and that . the ground water can be drained into that stream or be permitted into the Brigham Young Ditch, as it is doing at present. |
