Staats Cotsworth decided that good food and security se-curity would have to be attained attain-ed another way . . . turning to the stage, he got his acting start with Eva Le Gallienne's 14th Street Repertory Theater in New York . . . two years' success suc-cess there led to important parts in 23 Broadway shows . . . like many another established stage actor, he was quick to observe the opportunities developing in radio and was one of the first Broadway thespians to make igood on tile air . . . he's played ilensman Casey in "Crime Photographer" Pho-tographer" since the program's debut five years ago . . . away from the mike, his main hob-jbies hob-jbies are his old career, painting, land amateur photography, an (avocation inspired by his CBS i radio characterization. |
